Mentoring and Supervision

Thesis advisory committee (TAC)
All IRTG PhD students select a thesis advisory committee consisting of the mentor and two additional PIs of the TRR130 (one from another TRR130 location). The TAC meets annually to discuss the progress of the thesis project with the PhD student.

Course of action
The composition of the TAC has to be forwarded to the IRTG coordinator within the first 3 months after admission. The meetings are organized by the PhD students themselves, at the latest by 15 November each year. Students submit a progress report one week before the meeting to the TAC members. After the meeting students send a brief protocol to the IRTG coordinator.
